St. Lukes Elmore Medical Center

St. Luke's Elmore, formerly Elmore Medical Center, was founded in 1955 and has a long tradition of providing expert care to the people of Elmore and northern Owyhee counties. With your best health in mind, we offer ongoing disease prevention coaching that’s integrated into every service we provide. We’re your local 25-bed critical access hospital featuring 24-hour emergency department, lab and imaging services, family birthing suites, and a long-term care unit. We also offer primary care at St. Luke’s Clinic – Trinity Mountain Medical, where we specialize in family medicine and OB/GYN care.

St. Luke's has a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation experts to support your recovery in the inpatient setting after a medical event, illness, injury or disorder diagnosis. Our four categories of inpatient rehabilitation services include:

  • Acute inpatient rehabilitation: intensive therapy for patients requiring multiple types of therapy each day (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy)
  • Sub-acute rehabilitation: less intensive therapy for patients requiring only a few hours of therapy each day
  • Swing beds: under certain circumstances, our smaller hospitals are able to accommodate inpatient rehabilitation in a medical/surgical care unit; these are called "swing beds" because the type of care provided shifts as appropriate, depending on the patient's needs
  • Long-term care: rehabilitation therapy and support for residents living at our Medicare-certified, skilled nursing facility in Mountain Home.

Your rehabilitation plan will be managed by a team that meets regularly to provide you with the best care. Your family will also be included to ensure that you and everyone involved in your care will feel confident in supporting your rehabilitation.
